Summary
A tale of forbidden love based on the acclaimed play from the Royal Court Theatre with Jodhi May and Ed Hogg directed by Barnaby Southcombe (I, Anna).

Synopsis:

Set over three days in the British seaside town of Scarborough, two couples seek an escape from the constraints of real life. In a faded hotel, amongst the peeling wallpaper and away from the prying eyes of their hometown, they laugh, quarrel, make love and enjoy their anonymity.

The hotel rooms are their safe haven but also their self-imposed prison as they don’t dare go out. After all, at barely 16 years old, two of them are still at school.... and the other two, their teachers.

Part love story and probing social commentary, Scarborough has a gripping narrative that uses it's structure to explore the boundaries of responsibility and consent.

CASTING THE LEAD ROLES:
Daz (Male, 16 - 17)
Description: 16 years old. Yorkshire lad. Cocky, impetuous teenager with bags of personality who tears through life speaking before thinking. Becoming romantically involved with his teacher has given him an obsession that fuels his every waking hour and makes him feel like a superhero with a dark secret.

We are looking for someone physically confident and comfortable with nudity for scenes of a sexual nature.

Beth (Female, 16 - 17)
Description: 16 years old. Yorkshire lass. Brassy, impetuous teenager with bags of personality who tears through life speaking before thinking. Becoming romantically involved with her teacher has given her an obsession that fuels her every waking hour and makes her feel like a heroine from a movie with a dark secret she can’t share with her peers.

We are looking for someone physically confident and comfortable with nudity for scenes of a sexual nature.
