In 2017, we opened the doors to our new £28.2m centre for world-leading drama training. In addition to ten new training and rehearsal studios and a state-of-the-art screen and audio suite, our two new theatres now allow us to stage all LAMDA productions under one roof.

How can you get involved?
LAMDA Exams
LAMDA has been offering practical examinations in communication and performance subjects for over 130 years. Rita Ora, Neil Gaiman and Lily Cole are just a few of the former LAMDA exams candidates that you may recognise.
Our examinations are all about achievement and empowerment. Anyone can take a LAMDA exam, regardless of age, ability, ambition or experience. They offer an exciting way to develop communications and performance skills in many different areas, including:
- Acting
- Speaking Verse and Prose
- Speaking in Public
- Miming
- Group Recital
- Choral Speaking
- Musical Theatre

LAMDA Short Courses
Throughout the summer we offer Short Courses to suit students of all abilities. Designed to challenge and inspire in a supportive environment, these courses are taught by the same tutors and industry professionals who lead our full-time, vocational training. Our range of 2018 courses includes:

In addition to our short courses, LAMDA also offers semester courses in Autumn and Spring terms, as well as an eight-week intensive Shakespeare Summer School.
We offer exceptional vocational training for actors, stage managers, technicians, directors, and designers and train approximately 220 UK and international students a year across five validated degree courses and our own range of diploma courses. We are committed to selecting the most talented students, irrespective of their financial circumstances; at least one in five receives support through our scholarships and bursaries programme.
