Rise Studios is a Dance, Drama and Performing Arts School in Rickmansworth that runs Ballet, Modern, Tap, Street dance, Drama (LAMDA) and Performing Arts Classes for children & adults living in Rickmansworth & Watford, Hertfordshire. 

Baby Ballet

This class is suitable for children aged between 3 and 5 years old. It is a 30 min class teaching all the basic ballet movements; skipping, galloping, turning, plies etc. It is an imaginative, confidence building class using both classical music, nursery rhymes and Disney tunes. 

Tappy Toes

A fun and creative dance/movement class for all toddlers, boys and girls, aged 6 months to 5 years. This is their first introduction to dance and drama through story telling, props and songs with action. Our baby classes combine movement, music and sensory, with the use of sensory props like light up batons, spikey glow balls, ribbons, pompoms and lots more. We run Dance and Performing Arts classes for children from 6 months to 17 years. We also have a variety of adult classes.

Rise Studios runs classes in Rickmansworth and Watford offering high quality professional training in a fun and positive environment.

Musical Theatre

This course is a two and a half hour session incorporating all three of the Performing Arts disciplines, Drama, Singing and Musical Theatre Dance.

The emphasis of this course is to provide as many opportunities to perform as possible, this includes various theatrical events, festivals, and end of term demonstrations.

Termly workshops, with industry professionals are included as part of the course, from West End Performers to Casting Directors, and film and television actors. Students will be actively encouraged to attend auditions for professional work.

Previous students have be seen in Oliver in the West End, Nuzzle and Scratch on CBeebies, the Watford Palace Pantomimes and several TV adverts, including the Olympic Mascot advert!

Performing Arts Fridays in Rickmansworth 

Mini Musical Theatre

Our Mini Musical Theatre is for ages 3-6 years and takes place on Fridays at 4-5pm

This is a miniature version of the Musical Theatre course for children aged 3 to 6 years. An hour, broken into three 20 minute sessions. This is the perfect course for building confidence and encouraging creativity, whilst also getting some great exercise!

Rise Studios owner, Claire Munday, trained at Laine Theatre Arts, one of the top musical theatre colleges in London, and has performed around the world since achieving her Professional status. Her dance credits include Destiny's Child, Geri Haliwell, KT Tunstall and Catherine Jenkins to name a few. She has also performed on ToTP's, MTV, London Paladium, Royal Albert Hall and countless other high profile venues around the globe.
