Welcome to Theatretrain in Maldon

Theatretrain Maldon is a part time theatre school, providing outstanding professional drama classes, dance classes and singing classes for kids and teens aged 4-18 years old.

Our unique step-by-step curriculum has been developed by Writer and Director, Kevin Dowsett who has taught a generation of actors for over 50 years, including Catherine Tate, Martine McCutcheon and double Olivier Award winner, Denise Gough.

At Theatretrain, we believe the performing arts should be accessible to everyone, that's why we never audition new students, and we don't ask for any previous experience. Enthusiasm and a love of performing is all that's needed. In return, we offer professional classes you won't find anywhere else, with highly qualified teachers who make learning accessible and fun for everyone.

• Our classes run from All Saints’ Primary School, Highlands Drive, Maldon, Essex, CM9 6HY.

TT Minis (4 – 6 years) Every Saturday, 10am – 11.30am.
Our fabulous TT Minis sessions consist of 30 minutes in each subject of acting singing and dancing.

TT Main School (6 – 18 years) Every Saturday 10am – 1pm.
Our Theatretrain Main School operates with three age groups 6-9-, 9-12- and 13–18-year-olds, and each age group receives one hours tuition in each subject of acting, singing and dancing.

Advanced Musical Theatre (13 – 18-year-olds) Every Saturday 1.30pm – 3.00pm
Our Advanced Musical Theatre class is open to all 13 – 18-year-olds who are students at TT Main School. Each term our pupils work towards a section of a musical and present their work to a small audience at the end of each term.

We know that you want to be 100% sure before committing to a full term of classes, so we can offer a free taster session for the first week, so you don't have to commit straightaway.

Our passion for performance makes Theatretrain unique and every year, all our children are given the opportunity to perform locally, regionally and in large-scale shows in some of the most famous theatres in the world.

Our kids Singing, Dance and Drama Classes are designed to improv life skills, build confidence and self-esteem and are lots of fun!

At Theatretrain Maldon you will experience professional classes and professional performances and work with a great team!! All our singing, acting and dance teachers are DBS checked and are either working in the industry or are a qualified teacher. You can feel assured that your child is in a creative and safe environment.
