CBEEBIES - Step On Stage in Spring Song

Four local children who attend weekly Drama classes at the Step On Stage Academy of Performing Arts, based in Twickenham, have had the opportunity of a lifetime when two producers from the BBC came to visit the drama classes in the Spring term. Following the class which saw the children create a musical procession for the Emperor in the Emperors New Clothes, and learn how to conduct to music, the children were cast to appear in the Cbeebie’s ‘Spring Song’ which is currently being aired until the end of May on the children’s channel. Emma-Louise Tinniswood who runs Step On Stage said ‘The children were absolutely thrilled to be taking part, and were very excited when they first saw themselves on the TV. This was a wonderful opportunity for them’. The children spent a day filming in the sunny countryside, and played the role of conductors bringing Spring to life in a garden. Eddie Reiman said ‘We ran and the camera tried to follow us – I found this really fun and they put spray stuff on my hair and pink make-up on my cheeks!’. Max Marshall who also played one of the conductors particularly enjoyed ‘rolling down the hill, I really enjoyed the day and had great fun.’
