Summer Term 2008

Students at Stagecoach Swindon are busy training and looking forward to their parents joining them for 'Parents Do Stagecoach!' this term. They are still chatting and sharing pictures and great memories of the choir they formed for Kenwright’s touring production ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’. The show came to The Wyvern Theatre in Swindon at the beginning of April and featured Craig Chalmers, one of the finalists in the recent hit BBC series Any Dream Will Do. Stagecoach Swindon also provided the choir for Kenwright’s last visit to Swindon four years ago.

In February this year, 15 students appeared at The Wyvern, as the rebellious school children singing “We don’t need no education”, for the tribute band ‘Think Floyd’. Many students from Stagecoach Swindon have had this opportunity, each year since 2004.

On 8th May, 50 Stagecoach students and family members took an inspiring trip to see ‘Hairspray’ in the West End. Travelling by coach together and sharing the experience of this fantastic show, has been a highlight to the term for many.

Our newly formed 'Performance Troupe' have started rehearsing for an appearence at The Wyvern in 'That 70's Show on 17th July, and will be working towards the 10 year celebrations of the school next year.
