Razzamataz Theatre School, Plymouth, providing weekly sessions in Pop Singing, StreetDance, Acting, Physical Theatre, Musical Theatre and much much more. Based in Southway, we attractyoung people from all other the city, allowing the young people to form new relationships whilst developing their social and performing arts skills. 

Each of our dedicated teachers have worked and are still working in the profession, and they bring the latest techniques with them for the young people to explore and develop with.

Razzamataz Plymouth, offer combined singing, drama and dance classes for children from 4 to 18 years old.

Our dynamic classes are designed to develop youth confidence and improve health and fitness whilst learning fantastic performing skills in a safe and encouraging environment. 

All of this helps to develop important social skills for our students to take with them into the real world. 

Our Classes

Minis

Razz Minis offers a fun yet informative introduction to the world of performing arts for 4-5 year olds.

At this age, children enjoy music and movement in such a natural way it’s a great time for them to begin to explore the worldof song, dance and drama.

These enjoyable sessions are the perfect introduction for our little Razzers aged four and five years, following the Razzamataz curriculum of equal amounts of dance, drama and singing in commercial and musical theatre styles Razz Minis is truly a magical experience for budding stars. With no pressure to perform – although many of our Minis LOVE to take part in our performances including our bi-annual Summer Showcases – just lots of encouragement, smiles and fun.

Razz Minis is perfect for building children’s confidence, increasing their social skills and health and fitness as well as giving them a chance to learn new skills whilst having lots of fun!!

Each Razz Minis class lasts one hour and is based around 20 minutes each of singing, drama and dance. Classes take place once a week for 36 weeks, divided into three 12 week terms, where possible we aim to stay in line with our local school terms.

Juniors

Razz Junior sessions are created for 6- 8 year olds.

They're vibrant, energetic and cover all aspects of theperforming arts, including Musical Theatre, Song and Dance, Pop Singing, Street Dance, Drama and Improvisation and Physical Theatre.

Razz Juniors is specifically designed for boys and girls aged six to eight years of age; with equal amounts of dance, drama and singing in commercial styles such as authentic Street Dance and Pop Singing as well as Musical Theatre Styles. Our Razz Juniors have great fun making new friends, learning new skills, increasing their health and fitness as well as being able to perform in our Biannual Summer Showcases and other local and national events!

Our Junior students also get to take part in our annual awards, and are given the opportunity to take part in the Arts Award at Discover and Explore levels. Each week Razz Juniors are also able to achieve our ‘Star of the Week’ certificate and are given the chance to take Razz Ted home for a fun filled week of RAZZTASTIC adventures!

At Razzamataz we are also proud to offer specialist workshops with industry professionals including stars of the West End and TV!

Inters

Razz Inters sessions are created for 9 - 11 year olds.

They're vibrant, energetic and cover all aspects of the performing arts, including Musical Theatre, Song and Dance, Pop Singing, Street Dance, Drama and Improvisation and Physical Theatre.

Razz Inters is perfect for any budding star aged nine to eleven years of age; lasting three hours in total with equal amounts of dance, drama and singing in commercial styles such as authentic Street Dance and Pop Singing as well as Musical Theatre Styles. Our Razz Inters have great fun making new friends, learning new skills, increasing their health and fitness as well as being able to perform in our Biannual Summer Showcases and other local and national events including the chance to perform at our Gala Performances in London’s West End.

Our Inters are given lots of extra opportunities at Razzamataz including the chance to join our partner agency – Top Talent -, gain the Arts Award and take part in specialist workshops with industry professionals including West End and TV Stars!

Seniors

Razzamataz is committed to providing fresh, fun and funky training in dance, drama and singing for all ages; but especially so for our Razz Seniors.

They're vibrant, energetic and cover all aspects of the performing arts, including Musical Theatre, Song and Dance, Pop Singing, Street Dance, Drama and Improvisation and Physical Theatre.

Razzamataz is committed to providing fresh, fun and funky training in dance, drama and singing for all ages; but especially so for our Razz Seniors who are aged twelve to eighteen years. We offer the latest street and pop trends in our commercial classes, teaching authentic street dance – our teachers know their locking from their popping.

Our students receive excellent training from ourindustry professional teachers, and are also given the chance to work alongside other industry professionals including West End performers, choreographers to the stars and stars themselves such as Twist and Pulse.

Our Senior students have great fun making new friends, learning new skills, increasing their health and fitness as well as being able to perform in our Biannual Summer Showcases and other local and national events including the chance to perform at our Gala Performances in London’s West End. Razz Seniors are given unique experiences including the chance to perform in London’s West End, be represented for professional work, gain the Arts Award and more.

Superb training, great fun and lots of style at Razzamataz Plymouth!

Razzamataz Plymouth Performing Arts School has a fabulous warm and friendly group of very enthusiastic students and teachers.

The emphasis is on fun, but with the wonderful team of highly trained and professional staff the training is also superb.

Our classes are held on Saturdays at Oakwood Primary School, Pendeen Cresent, Southway, Plymouth, Devon, PL6 6QS
