Acting Classes EarleyStageAbility is a part time Stage School in Wokingham and Earley in Berkshire which offers drama classes to children from 5 years old.

Classes are for the budding superstar as well as those who need to build confidence and increase their self-esteem.

There is no pressure to perform - shows are run outside of the weekly classes.

High energy classes mean that your youngster never gets bored, can't wait to get to class and develops a cross section of life skills such as teamwork, confidence, clarity and self-discipline, through a mixture of drama, song and movement.

Our fun-packed classes in Wokingham and Earley help youngsters develop life skills as well as acting skills in an all-round package where students work alongside like-minded peers; some wanting to perform, some just wanting an after school activity and some hoping to gain some more confidence.  

  • We also run Holiday Workshops, regularly produce shows & have an Agency!

Performing at StageAbility Wokingham and EarleyStageAbility’s core classes run weekly after school for children aged 5 to 11 years old and teenagers aged 12 to 16 years old.  

These classes suit all; experienced or novice and are ideal for children who need to build confidence as well as those who want to develop their acting skills.

All StageAbility Tutors and Administrators have Enhanced CRB/DBS references and have received in-house StageAbility training in line with our teaching philosophy and structure.

Our tutors are experienced at working with young people and bring to their classes an enthusiasm which has grown out of their involvement in the craft as actors and theatrical practitioners.

  • StageAbility’s shows are open to everyone.

StageAbility Earley and WokinghamYou don’t need to come to our weekly classes and you don’t need to have loads of experience.

We welcome new performers to perform alongside those with more experience and love to see new performers move up ‘through the ranks’ over the years as their skills develop.

Rehearsals are usually on Sundays and in school holidays.

Jackie Stuart, Principal at StageAbility Berkshire, is delighted to be re-launching Aspire at StageAbility.  

Weekly Drama classes in Earley and WokinghamWith 10 years experience in casting actors and presenters, and now almost ten years running StageAbility Stage School, she has seen the industry from both sides and is keen to represent Young Performers who wish to work professionally in the entertainment industry, whether that be theatre, television shows, films or commercials.

 Aspire has placed many StageAbility students on a broad range of platforms which have included modelling, TV, Film and Theatre.  Notable successes have included:

  • Ethan Lawrence, now appearing in the TV Series “Bad Education” and the recently released film of the same name
  • Josh Dubovie who represented the UK in Eurovision 2012 and is now a successful recording artiste and actor
  • Harry Tunningley toured the UK playing “Oliver” and has spent the past year in the cast of “Matilda” in the London production.  
  • Others have worked in TV Commercials, video promotional work and modelling.

1: Wokingham Drama Classes

Tuesday at 17.00 - 20.30

Wokingham, Berkshire - Tuesday Sessions Infants  (5 to 6 years old)

5.00 pm - 6.00 pm Infants (5 and 6 years old)

5.00 p.m. To 7.15 p.m. Juniors

6.15pm - 8.30pm Seniors

Ages 5 and 6 join in at the start of our junior class for the first hour of fun-packed games, simple acting skills and occasionally some dance and singing, too.

Ages 7 - 11 have a two hour class combining acting games, impro, movement, mime, song, diction, presentation and performance projects. This gives an introduction to stage performance as well as building confidence, developing communication and interpersonal skills.

Ages 12+ A two hour class building on the same key drama skills, but at a much more advanced level and pace. Classes include characterisation, physical theatre and designated script work
