At STAGECOACH HAVANT our Main School is for 6-18 year-olds and runs for three hours per week split up into three one-hour classes of jazz/modern dance, drama and singing.
Each discipline is taught by a specialist who is an active performer and experienced teacher.
Classes have no more than eighteen youngsters of similar age.
Our STAGECOACH HAVANT Early Stages School is for 4-7 year-olds and is run on similar lines but made suitable for the younger age group with lots of fun and games! The session is 90 minutes long and includes half an hour of acting, singing and dance. These sessions are a great introduction to our main school classes.
Classes have a maximum of fifteen children but the Teacher has an Assistant with them. The schools pride themselves on using experienced professionals to teach in all the schools.
Many are, or were, actors, singers, dancers, directors or choreographers. Most are highly qualified in teaching or performing, and all are carefully chosen for their experience of working with youngsters and are DBS (the old CRB) checked by us.
Summer school for children and teenagers
A week of hard work and fun, stretching your child’s creativity whilst they make new friends. The Workshop is open to all children, whether they attend Stagecoach regularly or not, who are aged from 6 to 18 years and will follow the successful format of last summer which was a show comprised of pieces from a selection of musicals from stage and screen, the content being decided on the first day by the attending students.
Children coming to Stagecoach soon grow in confidence and self-esteem. They learn to work in a team, express themselves more clearly, stand well and move better. Stagecoach is training for life. There is no audition to join.
Parents receive written reports once a year and have the opportunity to watch a demonstration of teaching and a full performance using costumes, theatre lighting, etc. each year.
