Stagecoach has been established for twenty years, and continues to uphold its excellent reputation as a pioneering performing arts school for local children.

For the past twelve years, Stagecoach has developed in even more innovative directions under the leadership of its Principal, Jo van der Westhuysen. Our venue at Kings House School is the ideal environment for Jo and her team of dynamic teachers to fully explore the disciplines of drama, dance and singing, as part of a comprehensive performing arts experience.

Our priority is to develop the self-confidence of every one of our growing students by allowing them to express themselves in new and imaginative ways. This experience gives the students invaluable life skills, fantastic foundations for future learning, and wonderful new reaches of creative expression. Our aim is to give our students creative courage for life.

At Stagecoach we are constantly working to enrich the experience of our students, and open their eyes to the many creative opportunities in the world of performing arts.

We strive not only to provide exciting weekly classes, but also to present a variety of learning experiences beyond this, to maintain the enthusiasm and interest of our youngsters as well as satisfying the yearning of our more serious performers.


Stagecoach  has voluntarily created a 'Performance Group' outside of weekly Stagecoach classes, welcoming our committed and enthusiastic students to their rehearsals.

Her Majesty's performance StagecoachWe have performed at a number of events and venues, including the beautiful 'Normansfield Theatre' in Teddington, The May Fair on the Green (four years running), ‘Her Majesty’s Theatre’ and a Dance Gala at the Adult Education Centre. 

This has provided the students with an experience of working as an established performing company, while of course presenting a chance to make new friends, broaden their musical theatre repertoire and perform for a public audience.
