Our North London Drama School is located in Camden and offers students the opportunity to explore classes in drama, film, dance and singing. Students are taught by leading industry professionals who have a fantastic rapport with the students whilst offering them an insight in to the professional industry.

Students will learn a range of genres from Shakespeare to improvisation in Drama and Street Dance to Lindy Hop in Dance. We also encourage students to explore their vocal range by introducing them to music styles from Musical Theatre to Rock & Pop.

All of our classes are Covid-secure, following a Covid-19 risk assessment and current government guidelines. 

 

CLASSES AND TIMETABLES

Classes run on Saturday mornings 9:30am-2:00pm at the Camden Drama School.

Children attending our drama school in Camden follow a timetable of Drama, Singing, Dance and Film classes with students put in classes according to their age. This timetable is put in place to ensure that students become all round performers.

• Acting Classes

In our Acting Classes children will learn role play, script reading / writing, improvisations, sketches, sight reading, drama games, character research, audition / interview Technique, shakespeare to contemporary.

• Film Classes

Film classes will teach students the difference between acting on stage and acting for the camera.

Students will work on short term projects, developing their own scripts for genres such as soap operas, commercials and short films.

Students will have the opportunity to film as well as to take the role of actor, director, cameraman and technical crew. We also invite professional directors/ cameramen to give master-classes in ‘acting for the camera’ to students.

The syllabus includes: Soap Opera, Commercials, Pop Promos, Short Films, News and Media, Presenting, Acting on screen,Sitcoms,Audition techniques.

• Singing  Classes

In our Singing Classes children will develop confidence in their voices both as soloists and in groups. We cover a range of techniques including pitching, holding a tune, harmonising and how to express emotion through song.

• Dance Classes

In our Dance Classes children will concentrate on physical confidence and freedom of expression. Various styles will be explored, including Musical Theatre, Tap, Modern as well as a range of dancing techniques.

FIORENTINI WEENIES

Fiorentini Weenies classes introduce early-years students to the fun and excitement of the performing arts in a safe and nurturing environment. The classes combine singing, dance and drama to encourage creative and social development. We aim to inspire young imaginations and build confidence through inventive play, basic performance skills covering drama, signing and dance and artistic self-expression. Once your Weenie reaches the age of 7 they will be ready to graduate up to our Main School which we can make an easy transition.

The Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School is a not for profit organisation that opened in 2001 as a Prince’s Trust Business. Since then, the School has has won 3 Business of London Awards and has a growing reputation within the performing arts industry.

Our guiding principle is to provide a safe, supportive environment for young people to explore the performing arts, whether they have dreams of entering the profession or simply wish to use the performing arts classes to learn some valuable life enhancing skills.

We have four branches across London in Hackney, Docklands, North London and Greenwich. We are not a franchise - the same Principal and office staff look after all four drama schools and we pride ourselves on having a close relationship with all the families we work with. There is also a mutually supportive relationship between all branches which is very apparent when each school holds its own show.

Each drama school holds regular Parents’ Forums where ideas and questions can be discussed with the Principal and staff.

TALENT AGENCY

For those students who do wish to pursue performing arts professionally we have the The Fiorentini Mosson Agency (formally the Anna Fiorentini Agency).

We are proud to represent a diverse group of young people, and to help them make the most of the opportunities this exciting industry can offer. Our students have worked in the West End Theatre, on feature films, television, radio, music videos, voiceovers and much more. The agency students have worked on incredible projects including BBC's EastEnders and Small Axe, and the West End's Oliver! and The Lion King.

The agency opens its books once a year and invites students of the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School to learn more about the professional side of the industry. We work exclusively with clients who are current students or alumni of the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School. PERFORMANCE TROUPE

There is an opportunity for students aged between 11-18 years old to audition for our Performance Troupe. They meet separately once a week to rehearse routines and are led by the School choreographer and musical director. The Troupe perform at numerous community events and various venues throughout the year as well as being a highlight in all forthcoming Anna Fiorentini showcases.
